  Purchaser beware:
  If you inspect a property with Wilsons do not provide details of what you are searching for as your profile may be used in newspaper advertisements without your permission.
  This has happened to someone I know and they were quite embarrassed and disappointed. The full page advertisement was there to entice Vendors saying that they have a buyer ready a X dollars when in actual fact the price is inflated and in this case the purchaser names were not changed and no permission was obtained. Upon complaint the claim was that their was coincidentally an identical buyer on their books? In a small town especially this a breach of privacy. I'm sure they weren't the only prospective purchasers that this has happened too.
  
  Advice to Wilsons: the real bread and butter comes from the purchaser (not just for the purchase but as they too may be a future Vendor). Best to look after purchasers by requesting permission before displaying personal information to the public and always change names.
